About the river-bed hike

One of the most special excursions inland: a hike where you walk directly in the river bed through a narrow gorge, with rock walls on both sides. The route passes several small waterfalls and clear pools where you can swim along the way. About 20-25 minutes' drive from the apartment, towards Otívar.

  Walking in the water

  Large parts of the route run directly in the shallow river — water shoes or sandals with good grip are recommended.

  Small waterfalls and pools

  In several places the river forms natural pools, perfect for a dip in the middle of the walk.

  The narrow gorge

  The rock walls close in around the path in most places, with greenery hanging down from the edges.

  Best outside high summer

  The water level varies with the season — spring and autumn typically offer the best flow.
